No they do dissolve. It just takes a while. You know how your dishwasher fills and drains several times? The first one or two are usually with soap, when you use the dispenser. After that they are all rinses. The cubes take the first one or two times to dissolve, too. And then they go out in the rinse.

Oh, I misunderstood. Mine dissolved fine, but the dishes were not clean. Nearly all of them still had food on them (even though we always rinse them) I had to run them through again, using regular dishwasher detergent.

I'm probably not going to use them in the dishwasher again. What else could I use them for?
