-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Smash a can of spam or a like product by another name. I use a food processor but mama always just mashed the dickens out of it with a fork. Add a few squirts of mustard. I like the fancy stuff for this but it works with plain mustard. I've never measured it but it should be enough to hold the meat together. Then add a few (depending on your taste) shakes of louisianna hot sauce.
Mix it well and spread on whatever floats your boat.
We used to use it on party rye bread for wedding showers/receptions etc. If you want to be fancy. Line a round bowl with plastic wrap and press the mixture in firmly. Chill it and turn it out on a few lettuce leaves and call it a ham ball. I've chopped fresh parsley real fine and pressed it on the outside. Whats funny is that it looks and tastes real fancy. Its the only way I can eat spam. After Y2k we had this a lot.
