I've never been able to follow instructions for crocheting so I have no idea why I'm even trying to this time. So here's the page with the instructions and pictures. sarahscookingandcrafts.blogspot.com/2013/07/crocheted-net-bag.html I got the chain made and joined. Where it starts the second row is where I'm stumped. What does she mean by chain 3 and ignore the circle from the first row? I will be grateful if anyone can explain this to me. Susan

She means treat the chain as if it were one strand. Loop your yarn around the entire chain, don't try to stick your hook into the openings inside the chain itself.

So the hole in the center is used instead of the small holes in the chain? Got it. Now it makes sense. Thanks, Kim.
