Yesterday I wondered what would happen if you fried grapes. So, today, I tried it. I have some of those huge red globe grapes. They were already washed and dried. I made a little pancake batter (I used a mix that just needed water), dipped the grapes in it, and deep fried them. They didn't explode like I thought they might. That was a little disappointing. Even the one I fried with no coating simply got hot and its skin split and some of it fell off.
They only took a few seconds to brown (maybe 20). I tried one plain and it was ok, but they were much better with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Found out these are something you need to eat right away. If you let them hang around a couple of hours, they get kind of soggy.

How do you chew them, Peggy? I can't stand anything cold to touch my teeth. I don't even put ice in my drinks.
