This is my ex-MIL's recipe.
Jeanine's Cabbage Rolls
Cabbage leaves tomato sauce (12 oz. can) 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, sliced very thin bacon onion, chopped fine celery, chopped fine flour salt and pepper
Pound flour into both sides of steak. Cut strips of bacon 1/2" wide, lengthwise. Drop cabbage leaves into boiling water to soften them.
Lay strips of steak on cabbage leaves and top with bacon strip. Sprinkle on some onion and celery. Roll up and fasten with toothpick.
Place rolls in pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, pour tomato sauce over all, adding water, if needed.
Cover and bake at 325, about 2 hours.
