I gotta tell y'all what Bun has been doing. Whenever she is in the room with me or Becky and one or both of us are typing on the laptop, she will start scratching like she's trying to dig a hole. It's funny when she's in the kitchen because her claws on the tile sound just like she's typing too! I wonder though if the sound of the keyboard makes her think it's another rabbit making that noise at her. The other day she was scratching on the couch, then she started trying to dig a hole in my arm. Ouch!

That little thing stayed with us for a couple days last week. He/she got spoiled rotten! A little love sponge, that one is. Wants her head scratched and her ears stroked for half an hour at a time.

Doe 1 is due any day now, but I don't think we are going to be getting any kits from her this time. Doe 2, however, is halfway through and has started pulling fur like crazy! Woot!! I guess now I know what the problem was and how to "fix" it! Seems that the buck knew what to do, but couldn't quiet get where he needed to be. Sheesh!!

I hate to ask, but how did you help him? (Or did he just figure it out?)

That's funny, M! It takes my roosters a while to get their technique down, too. I didn't think rabbits would have the same problem.

They make a mint off them! That's what!! rofl!
Granny, I slide my hand underneath the doe and lift her hind end a little so the angle is right.
I feel awful. We got to day 30 and doe-1 never pulled fur so I re-bred her and took out the nest box. Yesterday I went out and there was some loose fur and a "dead" kit in the cage. I gave her the box and some hay which she promptly put to rights; as of this morning though, still no more babies. Is there anything I should do? Just wait? I know they can delay labor if they are disrupted. Any suggestions or advice?

She probably only had the one. Give her a few days and try breeding her again. Many breeders will remove very small litters and rebreed the doe.
