I cook a One Pot Meal that is very good.......
Layer in order in a large pot:
Smoked Sausage potatoes (peeled and quartered) carrots (peeled and cut into lengths) onions (sliced into rings) cabbage (cut into strips) 1/2 cup water salt and pepper (to taste)
Add about 1/2 cup water at the start of the cooking process. Bring the water to a boil then simmer until the vegetables are tender.

The sausage is a smoked link sausage from Walmart. It is the great value brand Pecan Smoked sausage. The reason I use this sausage and only this one is because it has a taste to the sausage I could buy in Lithuania and it is fully cooked. Joe and I really liked eating the smoked meat with cheeses and crackers while living overseas. Just use your favorite smoked sausage or even ham would be good.

There are 3 things I need to get from the store - sausages, Cool Whip, and I-don't-know-what-else. I forgot the I-don't-know-what-else last week and I'm bound to forget it this week, too.

Well, I forgot the I-don't-know-what-else, then remembered what it was when I got home. It was tomato soup for that cake! At least I remembered the Cool Whip and sausages. I have the One Pot Meal cooking right now. I made it in the crockpot, so we'll see how that turns out. I also have the Pineapple Cream Cake cooling, so we'll have that for dessert. We missed lunch today, so I'm starving! I wish everything was done!

I'll be making THIS again! Everybody liked it. Tim said it was a good, wholesome meal. That's true, but it sounded funny coming from a skinny teenager.
If you make it in a crockpot, it takes about 6 hours on high, stirring once or twice. Not sure how long it would take on low (anyone know?)
I also added a few half-ears of corn, straight from the freezer. That was a nice addition.
